SHANE on STEPHEN: "He's a very very sound bloke, very nice. Just be careful you don't upset him..." RONAN on STEPHEN: "Meself and Steo always have a laugh, we're always laughing. We can laugh about anything, meself and Steve" KEITH on STEPHEN: "He's small, cute, very friendly, quite insecure and very private..." MIKEY on STEPHEN: "He's a very gentle kind of person" How would you paint a picture of Steve ? Ronan: I'd have to paint him in Disneyland. Lots of colourful characters around him, he loves the fantasy world. Mikey: He really likes escapism - to get away. Shane: He'd have a big smile, just really happy and jolly. Does Steve think he's an oil painting - a good lookin' fella? Ronan: No, I think Steve's fairly paranoid about his looks Mikey: And his height. He likes it when people tell him he's good-looking, he likes compliments Shane: He'd like it if we were to paint a nice picture of him, he'd have it in his living room What's his best physical feature? Ronan: The smile. He's got it Keith: He's got a very big mouth, a big grin, just like the Joker in Batman And his worst? Ronan: We'd make him look taller, he doesn't like being small Shane: We'd have to do something to sort that out. What would he be like as an old bloke? Ronan: Sometimes when we're dancing on stage and he's got his suit on with his shirt hanging out at the back I can just see him as an old man. Mikey: If he put on any weight he wouldn't be able to hold it. How has Steve changed? Keith: He's become a lot more open. When we first met him he was very, very quiet and very closed in. Shane: He trusts us now. Keith: It took five years to get him to open up, he doesn't really trust anyone else though. What will the lasting picture you keep of Stephen in your mind? Ronan: I know we said his smile, but I'd more remember him being quite and sensitive. Mikey: In everyday life that's who he is, when he gets on stage or in front of the camera he changes. |
